We are Gina and Mark, a married middle-aged couple from the United States that have fallen in love with the people and the beauty of Mexico. Gina is both a color pencil artist, and an IT application support analyst for laboratory and radiology health care applications, with over 25 years of experience as a clinical laboratory scientist. Mark is a retail merchandiser with over 40 years of experience in the photo industry, from photo lab suppliers to photo retail management.
This blog and our YouTube channel came about as we discovered a need to outline the steps we were taking to research and plan our eventual move to Mexico as US ex-pats. We found so many great YouTubers and bloggers out there, to which we are indebted, but the one thing that was missing is HOW do we get started?
We have done (and continue to do) our research. We want to share the who, what, and where with YOU to provide a starting point for your own investigation. There is already a lot of excellent content out there about the beautiful beaches, colonial cities, customs, and food. This has certainly inspired our desire to relocate, but we had to dig a lot deeper for the things that no one was really talking about. Follow us as we discuss HOW we did our research, what sites we found most helpful, and the real-time steps we took to get through the residency process and eventual relocation south of the border.
Now that we are finally in Mexico, you get to follow along as we visit over 30 locations during our first 4 years as residents in our search of the perfect place to make our permanent home.
As a visitor here, you share in all the successes and all the bumps in the road on this journey. You may have questions that we can answer. You may have advice that we should take into consideration. You provide us encouragement when things seem so hectic and uncertain, and hopefully, we are showing you that YES, you CAN do this! Thank you so much for being a part of this adventure with us!
Our YouTube channel is made possible by generous contributions from our YouTube, Facebook, and Instagram followers.
